Autumn Comp: Week 4   (20/4/2008)
Well it was a bit of a mixed bag by 11am on Sunday morning....Great weather, the sun was shining but the pitch was boggy. Great turn out of players for the Anzac weekend but not quite enough for goalies But as Lacrosse enthusiasts do and do well; was to make the most of it. The goals were turned over to narrow the target space and we readied ourselves to just not think about the increasingly smelly, bogged, mudslide of a pitch and crack on with a great game of lacrosse, which was very much of two halves....... Autumn Comp: Week 3   (13/4/2008)
Well the day dawned bright an sunny (as Enid Blyton would say) and a dozen or so extremely good looking and talented Sydney Lacrosse chicks (perhaps just a touch sore from "Bootcamp" the previous day) arrived ON TIME to Centennial Park for another Norths vs Southside game. Southside had some extra sideline support this week, with Summer and Misty yapping their encouragement. The first quarter saw the two teams trading points... Autumn Comp: Week 2   (6/4/2008)
Chicks with sticks are making a comeback .... Sunday was fun and fast on a short field filled with dynamic lacrosse players! Despite the fact that everyone had an extra hour to sleep in, there weren't many players on the field, but it was still a FANTASTIC game. Possibly because it's the first we've played in 8 months and it felt wonderful to not be able to breathe. ... (for the rest, click the 'recap: week 2' image)
 

Autumn Comp: Week 1   (30/3/2008)
The season started off very exciting last Sunday with the juniors largly outnumbering the seniors. A constant cool breeze allowed for perfect lacrosse weather and everyone looked ravishing in their new goggles and mouthguards!! It was a very competitive game beginning when Black exploded off the draw and scored 10 seconds into the game with a goal by Meals assisted from Alexa. 10 seconds later Alexa fired another goal in the back of the net assisted by Meagan. Field Comp starts on March 30!   (30/3/2008)
Women's field lacrosse games will be starting on Sunday 30th March 2008 at Reservoir Fields, Centennial Park. The comp will run for 10 weeks (30 March - 1 June). Players of all ages, experience and fitness levels welcome! Cost is $50 for the season or $10 per casual game. Please arrive at 10.30am for an 11.00am game start.
